During a four-player game of Catan Cities & Knights recently, my friends and I came across a situation we could not resolve with the almanac:

Players A, B, and C each have at least one city on the board. Player D has only one city and all five of his settlement pieces on the board. Nobody has any knights activated during a barbarian attack, so Players A, B, and C each reduce one of their cities to a settlement. However, because all of his settlement pieces What Is Ach Payment are already on the board at other intersections, Player D contends that his city cannot be reduced because there is not a sixth settlement piece to replace the city. Player D argues that he gets to keep his city in place and is unaffected by the barbarian attack because extra pieces (i.e. a penny) cannot be added to the board to symbolize a sixth settlement. Player A argues that for the same reason of not being able to add new pieces to the board, the entire city must be removed from the board and not replaced with a settlement since there is no settlement piece available to replace it. Player D argues that the barbarian attack is designed to take away only one Victory Point by reducing the city to a settlement, and the removal of his city actually takes away two Victory Points. Player A argues that Player D is not exempt from the barbarian attack since he has a city to be pillaged and he contributed no active knights.

If I own the original settlers of catan and I wanted to buy an expansion pack, would I need to buy seafarers Bank Routing Number The Bank Of Oswego and then cities and knights and then traders and barbarians or can I just skip right to traders and barbarians?

So Im new to this game, and Id like it for a family game. but first I have some questions. Whats the diff between the diff editions? is 4th the best? I got 6 ppl in my family, and so id get Bank Routing Number Mesa Bank the 5-6 player extension. Would I have to get the original and the 5-6 player extension? What do the other expansions do? Please answer!!

Highly recommended! Even with a 6-player Seafarers board on a small-ish table, nothing gets jostled or bumped during the game, and did I mention that we get to throw DICE ON GLASS?? Caution: shiny/reflective/magical distraction might overwhelm stoned players.
